The increase in life expectancy and the progressive ageing of the population are realities in Europe and represent one of the main challenges of the 21st century. The documentary ‘La gran vellesa’ (TV3, 30′) analyses this phenomenon through four examples of life trajectories in Catalonia that also explore different ways of ageing. The programme features Daniel Lopez showing how housing with care alternatives, such as co-housing, are attempts to materialize alternative ways of aging.
